Set in the same universe as the previous game, the newest game in the franchise focuses exclusively on the characters and world of Fire Emblem:Three Houses.
Revealed during the February 2022 Nintendo Direct event, the announcement trailer focuses on Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude, showing a little bit of gameplay and some story context.Whereas the second trailer "Mysterious Mercenary," introduces a new protagonist named Shez, who, like Byleth, players can pick between a male and female version.
Like its predecessor, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, players can expect the new game to have 3 paths to choose from, each revolving around one of the main lords:
Scarlet Blaze - The path focuses on The Black Eagles, with their own trailer being released 6 days ago. (at the time of writing this)
Azure Gleam - This path focuses on The Blue Lions, with their own trailer being released 13 days ago.
Golden Wildfire - This path focuses on The Golden Deer, suspectedly, as a full class trailer hasn't yet been released, however with the first 2 trailers coming out in weekly intervals, A golden deer house trailer is predicted for release tomorrow.
Three houses spoilers!!!!
In Three Houses, one of the main plot points was the war declared on the church of Seiros by the Adrestian Empire, heavily affecting the personality, demeanour and appearance of, Prince of Faerghus, Dimitri. Fan's curiosity has been peaked as in the Three Hopes trailer, he seems to be acting as his pre-timeskip self, this has made the whole community wonder whether the main events of Three Hopes will centre around the war, and if not , which direction will the narrative go down.
I spoke to Fire Emblem fan, Madelyn Brennan, who told me what she is most excited about in the new game and what the current game means to her.
